Shortlist and explain 3 stop motion shorts
1.
The first stop motion short film that I choose is "Fruit and Vegetable" from Clem Stamation.
The Reason: Throughout the entire film, the creator utilizes fruits and vegetables, which are the most familiar items in our daily lives, as props. What particularly attracts and surprises me is that precisely because these props are so familiar to us, we often have certain stereotypes about them. However, the creator breaks these stereotypes and uses perspectives that we never imagined to connect the scenes. For example, using watermelon seeds as raindrops falling onto eggs. The viewing process builds anticipation among the audience about how the next scene will play with these props.
2,
The second stop motion short film that I choose is "Candy" by Matthew Bunin.
The Reason: What I appreciate most about this film is its filming technique and perspective. The entire film is narrated from a first-person perspective, telling the story of a piece of candy. Moreover, the filming technique is excellent. Despite being stop motion, the transitions between each scene are very smooth and comfortable. Whether it's the camera angles, filming techniques, or storytelling, this film is of high quality.
3.
The third stop motion short film that I choose is "Paper", created by an author who isn't really famous. The reason :it surprised me is its interactivity. After watching this film, viewers experience something mutual. It's not just about watching; it's about feeling involved. The "fingers" in the film seem like the audience's own hands, and all the plot developments inside are influenced by the audience, creating a very unique sensation.
