Summary of Week 10 lecture

A new application that we wanna learn about had introduced by Mr. Fauzi in this week. Its named After Effect. After Effects is a versatile 2.5D animation software extensively employed for animation, visual effects, and composing motion pictures in film, television, and web video production. Primarily utilized in the post-production phase, it offers a plethora of effects enabling the manipulation of imagery. This software facilitates the seamless integration of layers comprising video and images into a unified scene, providing a comprehensive toolkit for creative professionals to enhance and refine their visual projects. Diverging from conventional methods, motion graphics animation adopts a distinctive approach to generate movement, employing the manipulation of both vector and rasterized art to craft and narrate a story. This method allows for the seamless integration of physical-based media, including photographs and videography, broadening the creative spectrum and enabling a dynamic and engaging storytelling experience

Photoshop/After Effect

Photoshop serves as a platform for layer compositing, where each layer must be arranged and appropriately renamed for organizational efficiency, facilitating seamless animation in After Effects. This meticulous organization ensures a structured workflow, making it easier to navigate and animate elements within the After Effects environment. Adobe After Effects stands as a digital application encompassing visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing capabilities. It facilitates the importation of diverse elements, including images, videos, vectors, and more. Efficient organization and synchronization of every layer element with external software platforms like Photoshop and Illustrator are essential for a streamlined workflow. Notably, After Effects adopts a linking approach rather than embedding, connecting to external media files to maintain dynamic and interconnected compositions

PRACTICAL : AFTER EFFECTS EXERCISE

In this assignment, our task was to utilize the composition given by our instructor and generate a keyframe animation for the layers, employing Position (P), Scale (S), and Masking path techniques.
